Job Summary

The Clinical Specialist oversees the implementation and coordination of applied behavior analysis (ABA) services and Childcare Medical Services for individuals with autism and other disabilities supporting program development staff supervision and interdisciplinary collaboration. This role works closely with leadership families clinicians schools and community partners to ensure highquality coordinated services while mentoring and leading assigned staff.

EDUCATION Experience Licensure certification and TRAINING required

  1. Bachelors degree required.
  2. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required; minimum of one year of RBT experience working with children with Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  3. Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles methodologies and behavior intervention strategies.
  4. Ability to implement ABA treatment plans manage behavioral challenges and apply interventions based on clinical recommendations and learning priorities.
  5. Ability to function independently and as part of a team including planning daily activities and adapting to changing priorities.
  6. Demonstrated ability to lead supervise and support staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  7. Excellent interpersonal communication and instructional skills; ability to work effectively with clients families staff and community partners across age groups.
  8. Ability to remain calm professional and composed while supporting individuals with challenging or aggressive behaviors.
  9. High energy level with demonstrated adaptability patience assertiveness and teamwork skills.
  10. Experience with community-based resources and services for children and families preferred.
  11. Ability to complete clear accurate oral and written communication in English including clinical documentation.
  12. Ability to obtain and maintain QBS certification or other agency-approved behavior support certifications.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  1. Ability to engage in active physical work including walking standing bending lifting up to 35 lbs and other movements required to support clients for the majority of the workday.
  2. Ability to work in environments that may be noisy crowded or stressful with frequent task changes and occasional outdoor activities in varying weather.

Additional Requirements

  1. Ability to maintain flexible scheduling as needed by the department.
  2. Valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance required; ability to drive personal or agency vehicles.
  3. Must pass all required background checks and be free of disqualifying convictions related to child or dependent adult abuse.
  4. Minimum of 12 consecutive months of employment with Hills & Dales (if internal posting).
