A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist in delivering therapeutic interventions to help patients improve mobility strength and overall functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients and families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Ensure patient safety and adherence to treatment protocols
Assist with mobility training transfers and use of assistive devices
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
Patient Population
Rehabilitation patients (may include orthopedic geriatric and post-acute care populations)
Experience Requirements
Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Education & Licensure
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
Active PTA license required (State of Texas)
