Application Integration Architect

Job Title: Application Integration Architect (GCP / API & Cloud Integration)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Integration Architect to design and deliver secure scalable cloud-native integration solutions within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. The role focuses on building robust API ecosystems that enable seamless secure communication between enterprise systems AI-driven services and customer-facing applications.

You will play a key role in shaping the organizations integration architecture strategy and contributing to the evolution of its internal IT delivery platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure cloud-native Process Integration APIs within a GCP environment
• Collaborate closely with enterprise architects and project leadership to ensure alignment with architecture standards
• Build APIs for secure consumption by AI agents internal systems and front-end applications
• Develop APIs supporting key business initiatives including AI-driven workflows (e.g. WhatsApp automation across multiple regions)
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organizations internal IT delivery and integration platform
• Ensure APIs are designed with strong focus on security scalability and reusability
• Implement and maintain integration patterns supporting enterprise-wide interoperability

Required Experience & Skills

• 810 years of experience in application integration API architecture or cloud-native development
• Strong experience delivering solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven expertise in API design and development including handling entitlements within API layers
• Experience working with cloud-native and serverless architectures

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with API management and gateway tools such as Apigee / Apigee X
• Experience with messaging and event-driven systems such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub
• Strong proficiency in / TypeScript and/or Python (FastAPI)
• Deep understanding of OpenAPI specifications
• Strong experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) for authentication and authorization
• Experience in DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab CI
