Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support a high-volume acute care facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper decontamination sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays according to surgical requirements
- Operate sterilization equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness functionality and damage
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to meet case needs
Required Experience & Skills:
- Previous travel experience required
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing workflows and standards
- Experience in acute care or hospital settings
- Familiarity with sterilization equipment and infection control practices
- Knowledge of SPM and robotic instrumentation preferred
Qualifications:
- Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or equivalent) Preferred
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
