WhereinWellcomewillIbeworking

Youllbe a core part of a growing Science Policy Labs team working to improve the ways that governments and institutions enable and support science for greatest public benefit. The diverse portfolio will include policyanalysis andresearch events thought leadershipadvocacyand grants. The topics we work on include securing the conditions for discovery and designing a thriving future UK R&D system; shaping the

global governance of science for effective collaboration andequitableimpact; and ensuring policy keeps pace with discovery to drive rapid and responsible progress.

WhatwillIbedoing

You will support the effective management reporting and communication of a growing portfolio of projects in the Science PolicyLabs team.Youlluse your project management skills alongside strengths in collaboration and communication to ensure theprocess compliancesmooth running and continuous improvement of the team and itsportfolio as a whole.Youllchampion and embed ways of working that strengthen the control environment and portfolio robustness over time.

As aProject OfficerScience Policy Labsyou will:

• Utilise best practice project management tools and techniques to effectively support project delivery ensuring adherence to standards and efficient outcomes.

• Continuouslymonitorand report on the progressissuesand outcomes of projects tomaintaintransparency and drive success.

• Manage the governance and control quality of project deliverymaintaininghigh standardsand consistency across all initiatives.

• Analyse and troubleshoot project challengesidentifyingoptimisation opportunities to enhance project efficiency and efficacy.

• Foster andmaintainexternal and internal relationships crucial for successful project deliveryfacilitatingcollaboration and resource alignment.

• Take ownership of the risk and control environment within yourjurisdiction ensuring accountability for the quality and compliance of outputs from you and your team.

• Champion continuous improvement of team processesand delivery culture

• Represent the team and communicate our work effectively to internal audiences

MinimumCriteria:

• Experiencemanaging a portfolio of projects andknowledge ofeffective projectmanagement processes andpractice.

• Experienced in the use of project management tools and systems and a good understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirements in project delivery.

• Familiar with project management IT systems withproficiencyin Microsoft Office suite (Excel PowerPoint Word) and collaboration tools (e.g. Teams SharePoint)alongsidefamiliarity withcommons systems such as .Salesforce and Oracle.
