Knowledge of Washington state grade level expectation for reading math science and writing.
Experience in upper elementary grade level
Knowledge and experience administering and interpreting data from SBAC iReady Math and Reading DIBELS and other assessments for the purpose of planning instruction and assessment preparation.
Knowledge and experience with differentiating instruction with differentiation intervention and small groups using instructional data for planning.
Knowledge and experience with various technology tools for use in the classroom.
Ability to incorporate technology into a variety of lessons encouraging innovative thinking and practice.
Proven ability to handle student discipline issues and willingness to brainstorm solutions to discipline concerns with the building behavior team.
Be a contributing member of the 5th grade team and willing to maintain a common pace of instruction
Collaborate with team principal and instructional coach on grouping of students based on various data points for the correct placement for intervention groups.
Willing to implement restorative and PBIS practices that the Summitview team has determined will be used school-wide.
Evidence of maintaining a positive productive learning climate withinthe classroom as well as with parents and community members.
Recent ESD 105 science training/knowledge in the addition to STEM/GLAD teaching strategies and practices
Demonstrate commitment to success for all students
Evidence of maintaining a positive productive line of communication with parents/guardians regarding concerns and achievements.
Be a contributing member of the staff attend staff meetings willing to take on extra assignments and help brainstorm solutions to concerns.

Working Relationships
Work in partnership with both large and small groups of teachers and other professional staff. Communicate regularly with students parents/guardians and teaching staff. Team up with grade-level colleagues to plan lessons analyze student data and maintain a focus on continuous improvement. Cooperate with the building administrator in the observation and evaluation process. When working with instructional paraprofessionals provide appropriate lesson plans and activity supervision. May deal with a wide range of student abilities and behaviors; may occasionally deal with distraught or difficult students.
Working Conditions
The daily work is performed in a classroom setting. The job incumbent is often required to stand or sit for prolonged periods be exposed to a computer display terminal for prolonged periods and meet externally imposed and inflexible deadlines. May be required to work outdoors in inclement weather; lift move and position students and equipment; supervise students bus loading/unloading; attend to students personal hygiene; may be required to deal with distraught angry or hostile individuals; may need to take precautions to avoid exposure to student bodily fluids and cleaning or disinfecting compounds; required to work in non-routine positions for extended periods.
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting (able to lift 50 pounds and assist in lifting over 50 pounds) carrying pushing and/or pulling; some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting 33% walking and 33% standing. The job related is performed under a generally hazard-free environment and in a clean atmosphere
