This is not a sales role but rather an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and voice of the customer to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises.


Key job responsibilities
The TAM role is not directly hands on keyboard within the customers environment for troubleshooting customer support issues rather you will work with appropriate engineers and service teams to see issues through to resolution. More importantly you will work proactively to help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers adoption and use of AWS services including EC2 S3 DynamoDB & RDS databases Lambda CloudFront CDN IoT and many more. Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customers environment and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents trade-offs support and risk management.

A day in the life
You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices and proactively keep your customers AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. This position will require the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.

- 5 years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Math or a related field
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for two (2) of the following: compute storage networking CDN databases DevOps big data and analytics security or applications development in a distributed systems environment

- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
- Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
- Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to properly apply them to existing or new customer architecture implementations and/or solutions
- Professional oral and written communication skills presenting to an audience containing one or more executive team member(s)
- Knowledge of AWS Connect Service at L200 level
- Practical knowledge of 5G network architecture and call-flows and experience in troubleshooting 5G networks
- Networking (DNS IPsec BGP VPN Load Balancing).
- Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company Amazons package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical dental vision prescription basic life & AD&D insurance) Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) paid time off and other resources to improve health and well-being.
