CPT is seeking a Configuration Manager V to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development evaluation and sustainment programs in a collaborative mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as senior CM authority for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs providing expert guidance on all configuration management matters.
- Oversee development and implementation of CM plans procedures and standards across the program portfolio.
- Lead and manage formal Change Control Board processes for complex configuration changes ECPs SCNs SCDs Deviations and Waivers.
- Provide expert-level impact assessments and recommendations to government program leadership on configuration change proposals.
- Lead configuration audits and baseline reviews; advise on corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.
- Interface directly with senior government stakeholders on CM status issues and strategic decisions.
- Develop CM training and standards mentoring all levels of CM staff across the program.
Requirements
- 12 years of experience including extensive specialized experience in configuration management.
- Expert-level knowledge of CM principles DoD standards and acquisition lifecycle CM requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading CM organizations and serving as a senior CM advisor to government leadership.
- History of successfully managing Change Control Boards for complex multi-baseline defense programs.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Active Secret clearance required.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience supporting CM for Navy Gun Weapon Systems or major DoD acquisition programs.
- Deep familiarity with MIL-HDBK-61 and related standards across the program lifecycle.
- Experience establishing or restructuring CM programs for complex naval systems.
