Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship working experience
• Knowledge of rolling stock maintenance with at least 1 year relevant experience is required
• Good command of spoken Putonghua and knowledge of simplified Chinese is required
• A valid travel document to the Chinese Mainland is a must
• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered

• The position of Technician will have opportunity to learn new skills with corresponding salary adjustment via the Skills Progression Scheme
• Shift duties are required (including emergency repair during adverse weather) with allowance for overnight shifts
• The above position offers a Joining Bonus of HK$12000 subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant programme

Responsibilities

• Work in Shek Kong Stabling Sidings
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities for Rolling Stock
• Be a team member of Rapid Response Unit in rolling stock team (RS-RRU) assist in rescuing defective trains conduct investigation fault analysis and find out the root cause of equipment failures with follow up actions on the corresponding rectification works
• Perform emergency rescue services as when required
• Carry out modifications tests / trials and fleet checks as well as Safety Independent Check (SIC) on all Safety Critical Items (SCI) of equipment / facilities that are associated with the maintenance regimes and complete quality documents and relevant maintenance records
