Job Summary

Mainframe Developer (CICS IMS)

Location Wilmington DE

Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop test and maintain mainframe applications.
Work on batch and online processing systems using COBOL JCL IMS and CICS.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform debugging troubleshooting and performance tuning of applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Support production systems and resolve issues within defined SLAs.

Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating system.
Expertise in IMS database concepts including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.
Basic understanding of mainframe system administration including dataset management and security.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in legacy system modernization or migration projects.
Familiarity with debugging and performance optimization tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
