Sr. Technical Program Manager, Alexa Built-In Experiences

Want to join a startup team building new Alexa Enterprise business As a Sr. Technical Program Manager you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects across Alexa. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers writing specifications driving project schedules from start to release and managing the production launch. You will identify and coordinate implementation efforts between internal teams and outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate trade offs to optimize time-to-market clearly communicate goals roles responsibilities and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. Youll also be responsible for ensuring our team operates efficiently. Youll own and improve the mechanisms we use to track goals status and business metrics across teams. Youll coordinate cross-team programs such as ensuring were scaled to handle major events. Youll help teams identify key risks provide guidance on how to communicate them and ensure leadership has the right visibility. This role will have to work closely with senior leaders across Alexa and lead several strategic initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
Leverage deep knowledge of the core system technologies and broad understanding of company systems/technologies to drive design for the programs you own
Show strong bias for action and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Be the interface between the product teams and the development teams define requirements negotiate priorities and deliver the right solutions and mechanisms
Resolve significantly complex problems showing high judgment in decisions that have technical and business implications
Make the right feature trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience and business relevance
Play a significant role in the career development of others actively mentoring others and educating the larger community on best practices.
Represent verbally and in writing complex decisions complex trade-offs and potential solutions clearly to leaders up to 3 levels above

A day in the life
As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will work with customers to assist in define the program vision and business plan for a new strategic Alexa business. You will get buy-in on your vision from customers partners and executives across the company. You will collaborate with design and engineering leaders to assist in define product requirements delightful user experiences and a scalable architecture. You will collaborate with marketing PR and BDSA leaders to assist in define how to take your products to market and drive broad adoption. You will partner with design engineering business development solutions architecture and finance leaders to support build roadmap(s) . Partner with customers and OEM partners to provide them with APIs or device specs to build the NorthStar Alexa built-in experiences for Smart TVs Speakers and more device form factors.

The Alexa Enterprise (AE) mission is to extend Alexas capabilities and services to partners accelerating Alexas vision of creating the smartest most capable and trusted GenAI personal assistant. - 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
