Empath Home Health a member of Empath Health is seeking a detail-focused Medical Records Specialist to focus on maintaining record quality on our Home Health team in Brandon.

Location: Brandon FL (onsite role)

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

What youll Do

• Responsible for meticulously reviewing printing attaching and verifying documents within patient medical records.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards prepare documents for surveys and achieve key performance indicators.
• Coordinate systems and procedures with medical records and data entry.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
• Supports and carries out the organizations mission vision and values on a consistent basis.

What Youll Need

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of office experience; Healthcare or Home Health experience preferred.
• Prefers experience using Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective communication skills with individuals of all ages especially the geriatric population.
• Working knowledge of personnel management record-keeping and general office administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Outlook Word and Excel.
