An opportunity for a TWM Programme Manager to support the delivery and ongoing improvement of a Total Waste and Resource Management (TWRM) programme across multiple sites.
You will help ensure waste services are efficient compliant and aligned to wider sustainability and operational goals. The role involves working closely with internal teams contractors and stakeholders to maintain high standards improve performance and identify opportunities for cost and environmental improvements.
You will play an important part in building strong working relationships supporting service delivery and driving practical improvements across waste management and resource efficiency.
Your role will involve:
Support the delivery of a multi-site waste and resource management programme
Assist in managing contracts ensuring services meet agreed KPIs SLAs and compliance standards
Identify and implement improvements in waste reduction recycling and reuse
Monitor supplier performance and contribute to regular review meetings
Work with operational teams to ensure safe and compliant handling of all waste streams
Help maintain compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
Support budget tracking invoice validation and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Contribute to reporting and data analysis to support performance improvements
Support sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and carbon awareness
Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and provide guidance where needed
Support the development and performance of operational teams
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
Experience in waste management environmental services or facilities management in a hospital/healthcare setting
Understanding of contract management and supplier performance
Knowledge of waste compliance and relevant regulations
Experience working across multiple sites or services
Good commercial awareness and ability to work with budgets and data
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable:
Relevant qualifications in waste management environmental services or health & safety
Experience supporting sustainability or recycling initiatives
Background in a regulated or public sector environment
Exposure to data analysis or continuous improvement approaches
