The S&P Global Ratings Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes with a broad set of issuer clients. We are a collaborative team that develops solutions to help clients navigate complex capital markets challenges. The team is focused on relationship management and business development and values intellectual curiosity strategic thinking and highquality client engagement. We leverage proprietary data cuttingedge technology and deep analytical expertise to deliver exceptional service and solutions.

The Impact and Responsibilities
Impact:
This role supports the management and growth of a defined portfolio of issuer clients contributing to revenue retention and new commercial opportunities. The Associate Director strengthens client relationships executes commercial operations and supports adoption of new tools and datadriven approaches that enhance client engagement.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the daytoday commercial point of contact for an assigned portfolio delivering consistent highquality client service.
Support revenue retention and growth by articulating S&P Global Ratings value proposition identifying opportunities and executing proactive outreach and business development.
Partner with senior team members on commercial discussions and operational execution.
Identify crosssell opportunities by understanding client needs and leveraging market and transaction insights.
Contribute to AI adoption by identifying practical use cases and supporting pilots with product and analytics teams.
Maintain strong working knowledge of Ratings products processes and use cases to support informed client conversations.
Track and manage opportunities in CRM systems with accurate data timely followup and operational discipline.
Monitor client activity market developments and transaction flow to surface potential commercial opportunities.
Collaborate across internal teams to ensure coordinated client coverage and adherence to regulatory and commercial separation requirements.
Assist with the preparation of client materials account plans and internal reporting.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to Canadian Candidates:) S&P Global states that the anticipated range of compensation for this position is 100000 CAD to 145000 CAD. Final compensation for this role will be based on the individuals performance geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and accordance with Ontarios new regulations effective January 1 2026 this job posting provides information on expected compensation. S&P Global will not be utilizing artificial intelligence in our hiring process. What Were Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 4 - 7 years of extensive experience in relevant experience in sales relationship management or client service within a financial services environment
Bachelors degree (Finance Economics or related field).
Experience in sales relationship management or client services within the financial sector.
Strong understanding of capital markets corporate finance and credit fundamentals.
Demonstrated learning agility and ability to quickly absorb new products services and use cases.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information and build client credibility.
Organized proactive and able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and CRM discipline.
Ability to deliver highquality work and meet tight deadlines leveraging the broader team for effective execution.
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one inperson interview. This will be conducted in the Toronto office.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to credit ratings fixed income or issuerfocused client coverage.
Experience working with crossfunctional teams to deploy commercial solutions.
Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into action.
CFA MBA or Masters of Finance
