What you will be doing:
- Prepare and cook assigned menu items following recipes portion standards and presentation guidelines
- Assist with mise en place station setup and service preparation
- Maintain consistent food quality taste and presentation
- Follow all food safety sanitation and health & safety procedures
- Support inventory rotation labeling and proper storage of food products
- Maintain a clean organized and safe workstation
- Assist with receiving deliveries and proper storage as required
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to support smooth daily operations
- Support other kitchen areas as needed to meet operational demands
- Other duties assigned
Apprenticeship Program Overview
- The Culinary Apprenticeship Program requires the completion of 5000 hours (approximately 3 years)
- Candidates may receive up to 1000 hours (approximately 1 year) of credit for prior culinary education or relevant industry experience
- This credit may apply to those who have completed a 12-month culinary program or have practical experience in the field
- Final approval of prior learning credit will be determined by the Executive Chef
Rotations & Learning Experience
- Apprentices will rotate through various kitchen outlets and stations to build a well-rounded skill set
- Rotation lengths may vary based on business levels team structure and individual development
- On average each rotation lasts between 3 to 6 months
- Each rotation is designed to develop both practical skills and culinary knowledge across different areas of the kitchen
Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a culinary program or pursuing an apprenticeship
- Passion for food and a strong desire to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude reliability and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
