RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs industrial/commercial type painting refinishing and spraying to structures furnishings surfaces equipment and roads.
• Prepares walls woodwork and other surfaces by stripping patching caulking sanding cleaning or bleaching for finishing.
• Moves and protects furnishings and floor coverings prior to painting area.
• Posts wet paint signs where needed.
• Strips surfaces of old finishes with chemical strippers; refinishes and protects furniture.
• Stains and paints finish on cabinets bookcases and shelves by spraying brushing or using a cloth to achieve desired color and tone.
• Paints structures and surfaces by applying coatings with brush roller and/or spray in a uniform manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of commercial painting experience.
• Valid Georgia drivers license and insurable driving record.
• Some positions in this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend stoop and twist.
