Assistant General Manager V&A Museum
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the team at the V&A Museum.
Located in South Kensington the V&A Museum is one of the worlds leading museums of art design and culture welcoming visitors from around the globe. Across the museum our cafés offer relaxed and inviting spaces for guests to pause and enjoy great food and drink during their visit. From freshly made coffee and light bites to wholesome lunches and sweet treats our cafés are a key part of the V&A visitor experience. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent service quality offerings and a warm welcoming atmosphere throughout.
We Offer:
Rate: 43000 - 46000 pa (depending on experience)
Shifts: 5 days out of 7
Contract: Full Time
About the Assistant General Manager role:
- Support the daily operation of the site alongside the General Manager
- Help lead and structure the team to deliver high product and service standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication
- Ensure an excellent customer experience across front and back of house
- Support initiatives to improve sales and service performance
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and cost control
- Support team performance through coaching training and feedback
- Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met
The Ideal Candidate:
- An experienced Assistant General Manager or strong Deputy Manager
- Background in highvolume and/or multisite operations preferred
- Confident communicator who motivates and engages teams
- Strong financial and commercial awareness
- A passion for food is a plus!
