We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to design build manage and optimize enterprise-grade databases supporting critical business and government systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design implement and maintain relational and nonrelational databases
Perform database installation configuration upgrades and patching
Monitor database performance and carry out tuning and optimization
Manage backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies
Ensure database security access control and compliance with governance standards
Support production environments and troubleshoot complex issues
Collaborate with application infrastructure and security teams
Automate routine database operations and maintenance tasks
Participate in system design reviews and capacity planning
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL or similar databases
Solid knowledge of SQL performance tuning and query optimization
Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g. RMAN native cloud tools)
Familiarity with high availability / disaster recovery solutions
Strong Linux/Unix operating system knowledge
Experience working in secure or regulated environments
Understanding of database security principles and access management
38 years of relevant database engineering or DBA experience (depending on level)
