The Role: Metrology Technician The Metrology Technician is responsible for the calibration verification and maintenance of measurement and test equipment (M&TE) to ensure accurate reliable and traceable measurements that support manufacturing and quality control. This role executes dimensional inspections supports measurement requests from engineering and production and maintains complete audit-ready calibration records. The Metrology Technician works closely with Manufacturing Engineering Quality Incoming Inspection and production teams to ensure product conformance and robust metrology practices on the shop Youll Do:Execute scheduled calibrations verifications and preventive maintenance for metrology dimensional inspections and produce accurate timely measurement up and operate CMM/vision systems and precision tools per GD&T digital calibration records equipment traceability and asset status MSA (Gage R&R Bias Linearity Stability) and basic SPC data measurement issues and implement method/fixture audits with calibration/inspection documentation and technical with Engineering Quality and Production to meet build readiness and product quality We Seek:Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Precision Manufacturing Engineering Metrology or related technical -on experience with dimensional measurement tools (calipers micrometers height gauges indicators gauge blocks).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD& of calibration concepts (traceability uncertainty basics acceptance criteria).Proficiency in producing clear measurement reports and maintaining meticulous attention to detail ownership for accuracy and disciplined work communication and teamwork across engineering quality and computer skills (Excel calibration/asset systems file management).Outstanding Candidates Will Have:Experience operating/programming CMMs and/or optical/vision systems (e.g. PC DMIS Calypso MODUS OGP Keyence).Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 environments and audit knowledge of MSA SPC and capability indices (Cp/Cpk).Exposure to advanced metrology (surface roughness form/contour laser/3D scanning).Ability to develop or improve measurement fixtures and probing in semiconductor precision machining medical devices aerospace or automotive statistical/data analysis skills (trend analysis Pareto stability checks).What We Offer:At Entegris we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
