Location: Middle Tennessee (Davidson Robertson and Sumner counties)

What Youll Do
- Conduct audits of state and local governmental entities in accordance with professional auditing standards.
- Examine and review records reports financial statements and management practices.
- Evaluate financial statement presentation internal controls compliance and operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Produce clear logical and well-supported workpapers and data analyses.
- Communicate clearly with auditees coworkers elected officials and stakeholders.
- Take initiative seek continuous improvement and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration with at least 24 semester hours in accounting
- Ability to learn quickly think critically problem solve and produce accurate work
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work tactfully with coworkers auditees and stakeholders
- Sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (not required but strongly encouraged for advancement)
- Experience in auditing governmental accounting or related fields
