Job Summary
Assesses the specific needs of individual patients and programs from a Creative Arts Therapy perspective particularly from the specific professional background of their discipline: Art Dance Music or Drama Therapy
Responsibilities
and implements individual and group Creative Arts Therapy programs appropriate for the setting
case management to program patients
a caseload and coordinate Case Management as defined by the setting
status of patients assists patients in problem identification and realistic disposition oriented treatment planning
patients progress
treatment plan recommendations
all treatment for caseload
specific program and treatment recommendations regarding the creative/expressive needs of patients
and implements through documentation and protocols the types of treatment appropriate to area of specialization
and adapts treatment goals and modalities for patients unable to tolerate group interactions
credentialed and/or adequately supervised may conduct group therapy or other specialized treatment modalities
patient progress in a neat clear and timely fashion following the units standards for documentation
Qualifications
Education Requirements
Masters degree in Creative Arts Therapy with a focus in Art Music Drama or Dance. Completion of supervised clinical training at the graduate level in an institution certified or recognized by the specific national certifying or registering organization.
Experience Requirements
0-5 years of professional creative arts therapy experience in an acute behavioral health setting
Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)
A valid NYS license or limited permit in Creative Arts Therapy is required.
If operating under a CAT-LP individuals are expected to complete licensure within 2 years.
Modality specific Board Certification preferred.

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $55.00 - $58.34 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
