Plant Manager Toronto

Trevor Frances Recruitment is supporting a confidential search for a Plant Manager to lead a large-scale manufacturing facility in Toronto Ontario. This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader who excels in complex high-volume environments and is passionate about driving performance safety and cultural transformation. The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations while fostering a strong accountable and safety-first workplace.

Job Duties

• Oversee daily operations of a multi-shift manufacturing facility of approximately 120 employees ensuring production quality and shipping targets are achieved

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations

• Act as the primary point of contact for labour relations building and maintaining effective relationships within a unionized environment

• Manage departmental budgets monitor financial performance and drive operational efficiencies

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste

• Develop and support leadership capability within the plant through coaching mentorship and performance management

• Drive a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement across all teams

Requirements

• 8 years of progressive leadership experience within a large manufacturing environment

• Proven experience managing labour relations in a unionized setting

• Strong background in chemical processing fibre or a related heavy industrial sector

• Post-secondary education in Engineering Operations Business Management or a related field

• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational and cultural change
