Test Engineer / Technician


Are you interested in working close to highvolume manufacturing of advanced Xray imaging detectors in Oulu

As a Test Engineer / Technician in the manufacturing engineering team you will play a key role in ensuring efficient reliable and highquality testing of Xray imaging detectors in volume this role you will take ownership of executing maintaining and optimizing validated production test processes to ensure a stable production flow and robust test performance.

You will work at the interface of Operations and R&D collaborating closely with manufacturing quality and R&D test engineering to ensure that test methods developed in R&D are transferred smoothly into production and remain reliable scalable and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain validated production test procedures for Xray imaging detectors

  • Troubleshoot test failures and test equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted production flow

  • Maintain calibrate and repair production test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results

  • Monitor and analyze test data to identify yield throughput and reliability improvement opportunities

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce test cycle time improve yield and increase equipment uptime

  • Collaborate closely with R&D Test Engineers during the transfer of new test methods into production

  • Provide structured feedback to R&D regarding test robustness and production scalability

  • Maintain test documentation work instructions and calibration records in compliance with quality requirements

What we expect

  • Required: Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering field or associate degree / vocational or technical education with relevant experience in electronics or production testing

  • Preferred: Strong hands-on understanding of test systems equipment and troubleshooting in a production environment

  • Preferred: Ability to analyze test data and make data-driven decisions

  • Preferred: Experience with automated test equipment and scripting (e.g. Python) is an advantage

  • Preferred: Structured practical mindset with strong problem-solving skills

  • Preferred: Intermediate English language skills both written and spoken

  • Typical education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering

Expected value of short- and long-term goals

1-6 months

  • Become familiar with DT detector products production processes and test systems

  • Take ownership of daytoday production test execution and support

  • Resolve recurring test and equipment issues impacting production stability

6-12 months

  • Independently maintain and optimize production test processes

  • Act as the primary production interface for testrelated topics

  • Support new products and test method transfers into production

12-24 months

  • Drive systematic improvements in production test reliability yield and throughput

  • Strengthen longterm test competence and knowledge retention in Operations

  • Act as a key contributor in future production rampups in Oulu

Location

This position is based in Oulu Finland. You will work closely with DTF Operations and collaborate with global R&D and manufacturing teams. You will be reporting to the Manager Manufacturing Engineering.
