We are hiring for Mechanical Technicians for a leading construction company of Nigeria. As a Mechanical technician you will be part of maintenance team at the Pipe Plant in Lagos. This role focuses on the upkeep and repair of industrial mechanical and hydraulic systems to ensure the plant operates at peak efficiency with minimal interruptions.
Key Responsibilites:-
Diagnose faults in plant machinery and implement effective corrective actions.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
Monitor and maintain hydraulic systems including pumps valves cylinders and pipelines.
Interpret technical drawings schematics and equipment manuals.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities reports and logs.
Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
Support installation testing and commissioning of new equipment.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and maintain a safe working environment.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
OND/HND or Trade Test certification in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics or a related field.
Minimum of 3 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience working with mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults efficiently.
Familiarity with industrial maintenance tools and equipment.
Basic understanding of electrical systems is an added advantage.
