Machine operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Operator to join our team in the Steel industry. This is a contract position based in Jamshedpur Jharkhand offering a proactive work environment for professionals with a strong background in machine operation.

• Operate and maintain various types of machinery within a steel processing environment.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of machines adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and output standards.
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise during machine operation and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports as required.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures including those related to quality control and workplace safety.
• Potentially assist in training junior operators on machine functions and safety procedures.

• Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering Industrial Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years of experience in machine operation.
• Proven expertise in operating various machines including specific experience with CNC machines and general machine shop equipment.
• Strong understanding of steel industry processes and machinery is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
