Job Summary
Location(s): Norman OK (various elementary school sites)
Pay: $15.00/hr
Hours: AM or PM shift available
Looking to gain leadership experience while youre in school
AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day summer and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun safe environment.
As an AlphaBEST Group Leader youll help shape meaningful summer camp moments that help kids learn grow and thrive. Youll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team.
Were looking for an early learning professional who:
- Enjoys working with children in a structured high-energy environment
- Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
- Is flexible reliable and ready to jump in wherever needed
In this role you will:
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages STEAM Fitness Maker and Arts)
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Keep the space clean and organized
- Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
- Build strong relationships with teammates kids families and school staff
This role is ideal for students studying:
- Education
- Child Development
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Recreation or Youth Development
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
- Preferred child care experience of one year or more
