MS SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator with 15 years of handson experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration database architecture performance tuning disaster recovery and migration projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing maintaining and optimizing enterprise-level database environments.

Key Responsibilities: • Install configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments (On-Premises & Cloud). • Design and implement database architecture to ensure high availability and scalability. • Monitor database performance and perform tuning optimization and troubleshooting. • Manage backup restore and disaster recovery strategies (HA/DR Always On Log Shipping Replication). • Plan and execute database migration and upgrade activities. • Ensure data integrity security and compliance standards. • Perform capacity planning and performance forecasting. • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (T-SQL PowerShell). • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployment and production support. • Provide 24/7 production support when required. Required Skills: • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2008–2022). • Experience with Always on Availability Groups Clustering Replication. • Advanced knowledge of Performance Tuning & Query Optimization. • Hands-on experience in Database Migration (On-Prem to Cloud / Version Upgrades). • Knowledge of Azure SQL / AWS RDS (preferred). • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Experience with monitoring tools and automation scripting. Preferred Qualifications: • Microsoft SQL Server certifications. • Experience working in enterprise or high-availability environments. • Strong communication and documentation skills
