Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage maintain and optimize Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle 19c administration on Red Hat Linux Oracle Data Guard GoldenGate RMAN and OEM 13c. The role requires hands-on experience in database installation upgrades performance tuning backup and recovery high availability and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Oracle Database 19c software installation upgrades and patching activities.
• Design build and deploy database solutions including capacity planning and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting database availability performance and reliability.
• Manage database tablespaces including creation modification and deletion.
• Clone database environments using RMAN Oracle Data Pump and other Oracle utilities.
• Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN.
• Support application development teams by resolving SQL and PL/SQL-related issues.
• Monitor and manage database storage utilization and perform proactive capacity management.
• Coordinate and execute release implementations changes and service requests.
• Conduct database-level and server-level health checks to ensure operational stability.
• Maintain high availability environments and ensure systems remain clean and optimized.
• Provide timely escalation and detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical issues.
• Perform SQL tuning and Oracle instance performance optimization.
• Implement administer and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.
• Install configure and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c for monitoring and administration.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine DBA tasks.
• Participate in production support and crisis management calls providing technical leadership.
• Collaborate effectively with global and remote teams while demonstrating ownership and accountability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience administering Oracle 19c databases on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong expertise in Oracle Data Guard including:
  • Setup and configuration
  • Monitoring
  • Switchover and failover activities
• Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate setup administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • RMAN Backup & Recovery
  • Oracle Data Pump
  • SQL and PL/SQL
  • Database cloning and migrations
  • Performance tuning and optimization
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash/KornShell).
• Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to MongoDB and MySQL administration.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Python.
• Understanding of heterogeneous backup and recovery strategies.
• Experience working in 24/7 production support environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 6-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Strong experience in production support and high-availability environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Demonstrated ownership customer focus and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
