Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Database Developer (PostgreSQL) with strong expertise in database development architecture and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience including 3–4 years in team leadership and a proven track record of managing large-scale high-performance database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain PostgreSQL database systems
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries functions and stored procedures
• Design scalable database schemas and indexing strategies
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization
• Monitor database performance and server resource utilization
• Ensure data security high availability and reliability
• Manage ETL processes and data migration workflows
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Collaborate with development teams for seamless integration
• Lead and mentor database developers
• Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices
• Maintain documentation for database architecture and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in database development
• 3–4 years of team leadership/mentoring experience
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL (mandatory)
• Advanced SQL knowledge and query optimization skills
• Experience with performance tuning and indexing strategies
• Experience handling large datasets and high-transaction systems
• Strong understanding of database security and backup/recovery
• Experience in database deployment and testing
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
