This is an exciting opportunity to support the Leader Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive ensuring the smooth running of the Councils most senior offices.
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the Chief Executives and Civic Offices building strong relationships across the Council and with partners. Youll line manage a small team of support staff ensuring a high quality service. Your work will include producing briefings and presentations leading on small projects and policy work managing the response to complex enquiries and complaints and supporting civic and ceremonial functions. Youll also support business planning risk management and staff engagement.
We are looking for candidates who are flexible proactive and highly organised and bring:
- strong analytical skills
- communication and political awareness with confidence to influence without authority
- proven project or policy experience
- customer service skills
- staff management experience
Experience in local government or partnership work is desirable.
