Location: City of London (EC1) onsite
Type: Contract Inside IR35
Rate: Rate as per experience Inside IR35

About the Role
Youll design implement and operate IoT network solutions for an enterprise client. The core of the role is building and managing IoT connectivity infrastructure onboarding devices designing isolation and security strategies and keeping everything running reliably as the IoT estate grows.
Cisco SD Access DNA Center and VxLAN are must-haves. If you dont have hands-on production experience with all three this isnt the right role. The client needs someone who has delivered with these tools not just familiarity.
Requirements
What Youll Be Doing
Designing implementing and troubleshooting IoT solutions end to end
Onboarding IoT devices onto the network using Cisco DNA Center
Integrating sensors actuators and communication modules into IoT systems
Developing network strategies using DNAC to isolate and secure IoT traffic
Implementing security measures to protect IoT devices and data
Evaluating and feasibility-testing IoT solutions and documenting findings
Designing networks that can scale to accommodate future IoT growth
Documenting system architecture design specs and troubleshooting procedures
What We Need
Cisco SD Access DNA Center (DNAC) and VxLAN production delivery not certification only
IoT protocols: MQTT CoAP Thread
Programming experience: C C Python Java
Cloud IoT platforms: AWS IoT or Azure IoT
Security best practices for IoT devices and networks
Hardware integration experience sensors actuators firmware
58 years experience in IoT development and network engineering
Required Skills:
Essential technical skills: - 5-7 years work experience in system integrator or enterprise field - Solid routing and switching knowledge specifically: OSPF BGP MPLS RSTP EtherChannel - Working experience with Catalyst product line (preferably Catalyst 9000) - Good understanding of network security techniques such as IPSEC MACSec MAB/802.1x - Good understanding of Wireless (preferably Cisco) - Conceptual knowledge of QoS - Scripting in bash python - Experience with Ansible Desired technical skills: - Work experience with overlay based solution (SDWAN SD Access ACI EVPN-VXLAN) - Work experience with IOT networks - Knowledge of endpoint profiling (ISE Armis Forescout etc.) - Work experience with Catalyst Center (formerly DNAc) - Experience with Terraform Netconf - Experience with Ekahau EU/EEA work eligibility
