About the role

TAFE NSW is currently seeking multiple Communications Specialists to join our Corporate Communications team. The Communications Specialist is responsible for helping to position TAFE NSW with media employees industry and communities with a focus on proactive and strategic media and communications.

About You

To be successful in this role you will come from a media relations and/or strategic communications a natural at teasing out good news stories writing for a range of audiences and channels and are solutions focused. You must be a clear communicator and have exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and shape PR opportunities.
  • Contributing to communications project teams by producing high-quality written materials including media releases and alerts interview briefs statements social media posts intranet content newsletter copy and speeches
  • Supporting the implementation of communications plans that are aligned with the TAFE NSW Strategic and Operational Plans and the Corporate Communications Strategy
  • Developing key messages identifying potential issues and selecting appropriate communication tactics
  • Monitoring media social media and internal feedback channels
