COMPANY OVERVIEW:

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Deputy Manager Security will also act as Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) and will be responsible for overseeing and managing all security operations at the port facility ensuring full compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code national security regulations and company policies. The role includes risk assessment
access control management security personnel supervision incident response and coordination with government agencies to safeguard the port facility its assets personnel and cargo.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as the designated PFSO ensuring full compliance with the ISPS
Code and relevant port security regulations. - Develop implement and maintain the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) and ensure its effective execution.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and
recommend corrective measures. - Organize and oversee security drills and exercises as per ISPS
requirements. - Ensure strict access control to prevent unauthorized entry into the port
facility. - Monitor and manage the use of CCTV surveillance systems and
biometric access controls. - Supervise security patrols and ensure perimeter security is maintained
at all times. - Enforce security protocols and personnel from threats such as theft
smuggling and terrorism. - Lead emergency response operations for security breaches fire
hazardous spills and terrorist threats. - Investigate security incidents prepare reports and implement
corrective actions. - Serve as the primary contact for law enforcement coast guard customs and intelligence agencies during security incidents.
- Maintain and update the Emergency Response Plan in coordination with
relevant stakeholders. - Liaise with Port Authorities Maritime Security Agencies Customs Law
Enforcement and Intelligence Services for security operations and
compliance. - Represent the port facility during security audits inspections and ISPS
Code compliance checks. - Prepare security reports and updates for senior management and
regulatory bodies. - Conduct random security inspections of cargo and coordinate with
customs on high-risk shipments. - Ensure minimum 75% of strength to be present all time for security
duties. - Ensure recruitment/ induction of Supervisors and SGs as per SOW.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Min. 16 years of educational degree i.e. Graduate/Master
- Retired Military officer not below the rank of Major.
- Minimum 10 years or above experience in Security-related affairs.
- Knowledge of best practices in the area of Security and Port Facility
Management. - Must be qualified PFSO.
- Ability to plan design & implement Security.
- Good Interpersonal & communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitivity and
discretion. - Ability to work on Computer related software.
