Imaging Service Engineer (MRI / CT) Athena Health Care
Position Summary The Imaging Service Engineer is responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of advanced diagnostic imaging systems specifically MRI and CT modalities. This role ensures optimal equipment performance minimizes downtime and supports high-quality patient care through technical expertise and proactive service delivery.
Compensation & Benefits - Salary: $95000 $105000 annually
- Additional: Overtime eligibility

Key Responsibilities - Perform installation preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on MRI and CT imaging systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical electrical and software-related equipment issues.
- Inspect test adjust and replace malfunctioning components to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Maintain accurate service records including documentation of repairs maintenance and system performance issues.
- Manage inventory of parts tools and service supplies.
- Implement cost-effective service solutions to support operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Stay current with advancements in imaging technology through continuous training and development.
- Provide technical support during urgent or high-pressure situations as required.
Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on high-tech diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Hands-on experience with MRI and/or CT systems (experience with both preferred).
- Formal training in MRI and/or CT modalities required.
- OEM training on GE and/or Siemens equipment preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education - Associates degree in Medical Electronics Electronic Technology Imaging Service Technology or a related field
OR equivalent military or technical training
Preferred Certifications - Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) and/or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) preferred but not required
- Additional vendor training is a plus
