The DSP Personal Support Services will be committed to supporting the organizations mission of ensuring quality support services are provided and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are both respected and afforded opportunities to choose and participate in and access community events activities and resources.

Responsibilities Well Help You Master
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a person-centered focus
- Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social environmental and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines
- Actively plans coordinates and participates with residents in social activities including frequent community outings
- Instructs supports and participates in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning preparing meals food shopping etc

The Ideal Candidate
- Will enjoy being active and a proactively partner while engaging in community activities and events
- Will be resourceful in researching community activities and enjoy introducing new activities
- Must have experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities along with patience and positive coaching skills to assist with successfully reaching goals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution
- Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
- Should have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or with other types of special needs populations
- Have patience and positive coaching skills to assist AM with successfully reaching his goals
- Enjoy being active and proactively partner with AM while engaging in activities events and volunteer efforts of choice
- Will be resourceful in researching community activities volunteer efforts and enjoy introducing new ideas
