Position Description

As a Civil Engineer you will integrate the process of document production with a more detailed understanding of design and systems components. This position will be exposed to Civil land development and water/wastewater design along with calculations specifications and an expanded understating of codes with a continuum advanced practice of three-dimensional AutoCAD and Civil 3D and production of site design. A Civil Engineer of this level will have the ability to take small to medium sized projects from conception to final design with little input from a senior engineer.

Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $85000 to $116000 annually.

Required Qualifications**

  • 4 to 10 years of project experience working on projects within the US
  • ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited degree in Civil Engineering
  • A Professional Engineering License in the State of job posting or other states preferred or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D proficient with WaterCAD Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis ArchGIS as well as Bluebeam Outlook Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with engineering concepts in real world applications
  • Proficiency in technical writing
  • The ability to take small to medium sized projects from conception to final design with little input from a senior engineer

Position Responsibilities***

  • Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to produce preliminary concepts and drawings
  • Complete cost estimates and research codes and/or jurisdictional requirements
  • Develop positive external and internal client relationships and participate in meetings with either internal or external clients to determine project goals
  • Prepare calculations technical memorandums and reports
  • Construction administration including but not limited to onsite field observation
  • Be called upon to support our design teams in partnership with talented Architects Engineers and Business Professionals remotely and across our office locations

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidates years of experience licensure status location level of proficiency and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
