UW Medical CenterNorthwesthas an outstanding opportunity for anAssistant Nurse Manager/RN3 to join us in our Main Operating Room.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Full time
  • Evening Shift
  • Hours are 1100-2130
  • 40 hours/week

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Assists with RN3 operational and leadership duties as applicable
  • Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager and Assistant Nurse Manager / RN3 peers

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Provides professional nursing care while supporting daily operations and team leadership within the unit. Serves as a clinical resource supports staff development and partners with the Nurse Manager to maintain safe efficient and high-quality patient care.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver safe high-quality patient care (assessment planning implementation evaluation)
  • Coordinate care across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff
  • Support staff education onboarding and ongoing competency development
  • Assist with daily operations including patient flow and staffing coordination
  • Promote effective communication among patients families and care team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of care
  • Provide guidance feedback and support to team members
  • Serve as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as needed
  • Assist with unit goals program development and process improvements

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license.
  • Surgical Scrub experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Masters Preferred
  • Minimum of two years of professional surgical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room registered nurse with proficiency in perioperative nursing practice

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$49.23 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$90.33 hourly

Other Compensation:

$1.25/hr Nursing Certification $5.00/hr nights $4.00/hr weekends $3.00/hr evening shift $1.00/hr BSN
