Assistant Planning Manager
Job Summary
What You Will Do:
Country Planning Leadership
Lead and manage integrated planning activities across supply production and material planning for BPT China.
Ensure alignment of supply plans with demand capacity constraints and business priorities.
Drive planning excellence to balance service cost and inventory targets.
Supply Chain Coordination
Manage complex multi-directional supply flows across regions:
Collaborate closely with global planning teams to ensure synchronized planning across the network.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to cross-border supply lead times and capacity constraints.
Production & Material Planning Excellence
Develop robust production plans aligned with site capabilities and global requirements.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials and intermediates to support uninterrupted operations.
Optimize inventory levels across raw materials intermediates and finished goods.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Build lead and develop a strong local planning team.
Drive capability development in advanced planning problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Process Improvement & Digitalization
Identify opportunities to enhance planning processes tools and systems.
Drive standardization and adoption of best practices across planning functions.
Support digital initiatives to improve visibility accuracy and responsiveness of the planning process.
Stakeholder Management
Partner with manufacturing procurement logistics and commercial teams locally and globally.
Act as the key planning interface between China operations and global supply chain stakeholders.
Provide clear communication and escalation on supply risks and mitigation plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or above in Supply Chain Engineering Chemistry or related field.
Solid experience in supply chain planning (supply/production/material planning) preferably in chemical or process industries.
Proven experience in managing complex global supply chains with cross-border flows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage uncertainty and complexity.
Experience in team leadership and talent development is preferred.
Familiarity with ERP/APS systems (e.g. SAP planning tools) is a plus.
Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese.
