Assistant Controller Lost Pines Toyota

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of a busy automotive dealership. This role works closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting compliance and efficient accounting processes across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations including general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Reconcile schedules accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Review and process vehicle deals for proper accounting treatment and compliance
• Monitor internal controls and assist in implementing process improvements
• Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee records and payments
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and federal state and local regulations
• Collaborate with department managers to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
• Provide support during audits and assist with required documentation

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
• Two or more years of experience in accounting or financial management preferably within an automotive dealership
• Familiarity with dealership management systems and standard accounting practices is preferred
