Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager & Marketer

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager & Marketer you will play a key role in managing and growing a commercial book of business while leading the marketing and placement of risks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Relationship Management:
o Manage a portfolio of commercial clients acting as a trusted advisor on coverage risk management strategies and insurance program design.
o Build and strengthen long-term relationships through proactive communication and a high standard of service delivery. - Marketing & Risk Placement:
o Lead the marketing of new and renewal business approaching insurers strategically to secure competitive and comprehensive coverage solutions.
o Negotiate terms pricing and coverage enhancements with underwriters particularly for complex or hard-to-place risks. - Renewals & Account Strategy:
o Oversee the full renewal lifecycle including exposure analysis remarketing when required and presenting tailored recommendations to clients.
o Identify opportunities to enhance coverage improve program structure and support account growth. - Collaboration & Leadership:
o Work closely with account managers and support staff to ensure seamless execution of service plans and deliverables.
o Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Education & Experience:
o Level 2 Insurance License (General Insurance BC) is required.
o 5 years of commercial insurance experience with strong exposure to mid-market and complex risk placements. - Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in brokerage management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Experience with Applied EPIC is considered a strong asset. - Key Competencies:
o Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with both clients and insurers.
o Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities.
o A proactive strategic mindset with a focus on delivering tailored solutions and long-term client value.
