Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher Assistant (SPED TA) to support educators in delivering high-quality instruction and behavioral guidance to students with diverse learning needs. This role plays a key part in fostering a safe inclusive and structured classroom environment that promotes student growth independence and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide one-on-one and small group instructional support
• Support students with academic tasks assignments and classroom activities
• Help manage classroom behavior using established strategies and interventions
• Assist with personal care needs as required
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teacher
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
• Supervise students during transitions lunch and school activities
• Maintain a safe inclusive and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree preferred)
• Prior experience working with children especially in special education preferred
• Basic understanding of special education practices and IEPs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience empathy and ability to support students with diverse needs
