Job Summary
Southern Industrial Constructors Inc. is seeking a Draftsman to work at a GE site in Wilmington NC. Create review and update 2D and 3D drawing packages for presentation and fabrication purposes. Draw/design various types of industrial drawings such as equipment layouts foundations safety platforms machine guarding and tooling. Support team members with cost estimates procurement and project management. Communicate with GE personnel such as Facilities Leader EHS and Cell Leaders. Coordinate with vendors to spec products for facility use. Update & revise electrical schematics and other utility drawings by field verification or by marked up. Manage drawing files or record keeping.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create review and update 2D and 3D drawing packages for presentation and fabrication purposes.
- Draw/design various types of industrial drawings such as equipment layouts foundations safety platforms machine guarding and tooling.
- Support team members with cost estimates procurement and project management. Communicate with GE Aerospace personnel such as Facilities Leader EHS and Team Leaders.
- Coordinate with vendors to spec products for facility use.
- Update & revise electrical schematics and other utility drawings by field verification or by marked up. Manage drawing files or record keeping.
- Update various plant drawings.
- Maintain files systems
- Coordinate with engineers architects subcontractors and vendors.
- Creation of machine LOTO plaques

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with MS office suite
Work Environment
Conditions include working in office with occasional entry into shop busy traffic areas and warehouses. Occasional exposure to dirt dust grease oil vibrations and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property. Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment.
