Freight Management Executive

The Job:

• Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading customs declaration and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international shipping regulations and custom requirements.
• Process customs inward permit including preparation of import documentation.
• Track shipments and provide accurate updates on the status of deliveries.
• Serve as point of contact for internal teams regarding logistic and shipping issues.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers/forwarders and customers to ensure timeliness of shipping arrangements/schedules and all necessary documents required.
• Prepare & compile shipping documents.
• Ensure smooth import/ export documentation and shipment arrangements
• Coordinate with supplier and customers on shipping schedule shipping related matters.
• Provide timely assistance to customers relating to shipment status as well as shipment issues such as custom clearance
• Attend to overseas agents and client request.
• Coordinate with supplier and customers on shipping schedule shipping related matters.
• Create PO for repetitive non planning products.
• Liaise with relevant departments upon cargo irregularity reported and file cargo damage claims.

Requirements:

• Knowledge in Freight Forwarding operations or in a similar role with Import/Export experience a plus.
• Previous experience and focus on critical logistics and cold chain food logistics a plus.
• Possess a minimum qualification of SPM NiTEC Diploma or Advanced/Higher/graduate Diploma in any field.
• Proficient with MS office applications.
• Minimum 3 year of working experience in shipping industry.
