Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of quality assurance activities across Boston programs including Community Services Employment Services and other contracted program areas. This position assists in file reviews monitoring preparation data tracking and documentation compliance in alignment with the Program Monitoring and Quality Assurance Procedure under the supervision of the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Programs and Contracts Manager in case file review processes for weekly and quarterly audits including tracking files for audits conducting post-correction reviews and ensuring timely resolution of findings in accordance with the Quality Assurance SOP
  • Support quarterly and ad hoc QA monitoring activities led by the Senior Programs and Contracts Manager
  • Track document and report file review findings errors and corrections
  • Assist in preparing documentation and client files for internal and external monitoring visits
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of case notes forms and required client documentation
  • Support data quality checks across program databases (e.g. Apricot/RISIS or other systems)
  • Assist in compiling QA reports and summaries for submission to the Senior Programs and Contracts Manager
  • Follow up with program staff to ensure timely correction of identified file errors
  • Support implementation of SOPs QA tools and monitoring checklists across Boston programs
  • Participate in QA meetings and training sessions to strengthen compliance practices
  • Maintain organized QA records and ensure proper archiving in SharePoint or designated systems
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strict adherence to time frames policy and procedure; ability to prioritize duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record

  • Candidate must have dedication to the human rights of refugees immigrants asylum seekers and displaced people
  • Candidate must pass a criminal background check that includes history of conviction of child and sexual abuse
  • Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification
  • Demonstrated support of IINEs values by exhibiting respect for others maintenance of confidential information.
  • Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition subtraction multiplication division standard measurements)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in social work human services public administration or related field required
  • 13 years of experience in case management program support compliance or quality assurance preferred
  • Experience working in refugee resettlement child welfare or social services strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with monitoring documentation compliance or program evaluation is a plus

Work Environment Conditions

  • Travel to the Lowell office.
  • Exposure to bright overhead office lighting use of office technology such as laptops printers mail machines and other in-office equipment.
  • This work may involve reviewing of sensitive topics such as traumatic incidents child abuse trafficking etc.
  • This work may involve phone calls as well as computer related tasks

Physical Demands

  • Use of manual dexterity tactile visual and audio acuity;
  • Use of repetitive motion prolonged periods of sitting and standing and sustained visual and mental applications and demands
  • Occasional lifting pushing and pulling materials (boxes equipment) of 50 pounds or more.
  • Continuous sitting (or standing) at a desk for long periods of time.
