Job Summary
Seaman USD #345 has an opening for a Assistant Girls Swim Coach for the 2026-27 school year.
This position is responsible for coaching athletes in the sport of swimming and requires development of student-athletes to have appreciation of the sport. This girls postition runs from Feb of 27 to May 27 The candidate must have coaching experience and/or have competed in swimming.
Essential Duties:
1. Develops positive relationships with athletes that help establish a winning culture.
2. Assist in organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages student participation.
3. Assesses skills and assigns team positions during practice and competition.
4. Helps develop a practice schedule that provides individual and team development.
5. Works with the head coach and athletic director in scheduling for practices and competition.
6. Coaches athletes regarding the rules regulations and techniques of the sport.
7. Provides instructions during practices & meets to determine the needs for improvement.
8. Sets high expectations for behavior and provides supervision of student-athletes.
9. Helps monitor the academic performance to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
10. Follows established procedures in the event of an injury.
11. Assist in conferences with parents regarding the performance of student performance.
12. Follows KSHSAA regulations governing the program and athletic department.
13. Models sportsmanlike behavior toward athletes officials and spectators.
14. Follows established procedures for supplies equipment & uniforms.
15. Participates in special activities to include parent meeting banquets award nights etc.
16. Models nondiscriminatory behavior in all activities related to Seaman USD #345.

Junior IC
