As a Security Officer Secure Checkpoint Driver in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a government location helping manage entry points verify credentials monitor assigned areas and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. This is a driving post. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and supporting approved entry and exit protocols at a government location.
• Monitor entrances identification credentials and/or visitor logs to help regulate access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents prohibited items and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter observing for unusual activity access concerns and/or conditions that may require a response.
• Support emergency response activities screening procedures and/or reporting requirements while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA DPSS/DHS requirements.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
