Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OR Technician to provide high-quality perioperative support in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role functions as a scrub assistant to physicians during operative and invasive procedures ensuring adherence to sterile techniques safety protocols and surgical standards.
The ideal candidate will have broad surgical experience and the ability to support a variety of specialties including robotic-assisted procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist as a scrub technician during surgical procedures including general GYN ENT orthopedic urology and vascular cases
Prepare sterile trays instruments and surgical equipment prior to procedures
Maintain sterile field and ensure strict adherence to infection control standards
Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures
Support robotic-assisted surgeries including Mako robotic procedures
Perform surgical instrument counts and ensure accuracy throughout procedures
Prepare and position patients for surgery
Maintain operating room supplies equipment and documentation
Respond to intraoperative needs under the direction of a Registered Nurse
Participate in emergency surgical situations as needed
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Surgical Technology program preferred
Required Certifications & Licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) required
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in general GYN ENT orthopedic urology and vascular procedures
Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (Mako Robotics preferred)
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operating room environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in neurospine and pediatric surgical cases
5 years of OR experience preferred
