Job Description
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Manage relationships with major customers ensuring alignment with CHEPs strategic goals and delivering revenue growth while achieving customer satisfaction targets.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and internal teams to create and implement strategic account plans with a focus on identifying growth opportunities optimizing costs and promoting sustainability.
- Lead high-level negotiations and commercial tenders securing favorable terms that meet both business objectives and customer expectations.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities driving incremental revenue and expanding CHEPs market presence within your portfolio.
- Conduct regular business reviews and audits with customers ensuring compliance with CHEPs annual audit plan and maintaining accurate asset management records.
- Monitor and assess account performance metrics such as NPS and customer satisfaction developing and executing action plans to address areas for improvement.
- Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders at all levels within customer organizations driving strategic initiatives and improving supply chain efficiencies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative value-added services and solutions that meet customer needs and promote mutual growth.
About the Role:
Drive Commercial Performance:
Own and deliver revenue and profitability targets across a portfolio of strategic customers.
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and translate strategy into actionable account plans.
Ensure strong forecasting discipline and financial governance including debt and margin management.
Build Strong Customer Partnerships:
Develop and maintain trusted senior-level relationships with national and strategic key accounts.
Lead complex commercial negotiations ensuring winwin outcomes aligned with CHEPs value proposition.
Co-create joint business plans with customers focused on growth cost efficiency sustainability and ease of doing business.
Act as a customer advocate internally ensuring excellent service continuity and long-term loyalty.
Collaborate Across the Business:
Work closely with Commercial Directors Operations Logistics Finance Asset Productivity and Credit teams to deliver seamless customer solutions.
Influence stakeholders across a matrix organization to achieve shared objectives.
Champion Asset Productivity:Promote pool discipline and operational excellence across the customer base.
Lead and Develop People: Coach and develop team members building capability engagement and a strong performance culture.
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Commercial or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
57 years experience in a customer-facing commercial role ideally managing key or national accounts.
Skills & Knowledge:
Excellent commercial negotiation and presentation skills. Proven success in complex negotiations and stakeholder management. Experience working effectively in a matrix environment.
