The Role

As a Design and Technology Teacher you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The successful Design and Technology Teacher will inspire students to develop creativity technical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Key responsibilities for this Design and Technology Teacher role include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Design and Technology lessons
• Teaching across specialisms such as Product Design Resistant Materials or Graphics
• Supporting students in developing design making and evaluation skills
• Ensuring a safe and well-managed workshop environment
• Assessing tracking and monitoring student progress
• Contributing to curriculum development and extracurricular activities

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and practical skills
• Has a passion for creativity and innovation
• Can contribute to the wider life of the school

This role would suit both an experienced Design and Technology Teacher and an Early Career Teacher.
