Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload) LTL (Less Than Truckload) brokerage cross-border trucking groupage and sortation hubs connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B B2C B2B2C e-commerce direct to store dropship returns and more leveraging asset-based asset-light and non-asset models.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering leader to design build and optimize scalable data platforms that power analytics reporting and machine learning initiatives. He/She will be be responsible for driving day to day business analytics supporting the business with insights and driving AI/ML initiatives in business. This role involves leading a cross-functional team of Data Engineers ML Engineers and Business Analysts while driving best practices across data pipelines governance and workflow automation. You will collaborate closely with business and operations stakeholders to deliver high-impact data-driven solutions support forecasting and ML model deployment and ensure high data quality and reliability across systems. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms ETL processes AI Machine Learning Business Analytics stakeholder management with a proven track record of mentoring teams and enabling advanced analytics in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage scalable data pipelines and architectures across multiple systems
• Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers ML Engineers and Business Analysts
• Drive best practices in data engineering analytics and ML workflows
• Support business with insights through business analytics
• Drive/ support EBIT optimization
• Collaborate with business and operations teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Build and optimize datasets for Power BI dashboards and reporting
• Support forecasting and ML model development/deployment
• Ensure data quality governance and reliability across platforms
• Automate repetitive data workflows and improve system efficiency

Key Requirements:

• 8 years of experience in data engineering / data platform roles
• Proven experience in team handling / mentoring
• Strong expertise in ETL data pipelines and Azure data platforms
• Experience supporting BI analytics and ML workloads
• Experience forecasting / ML concepts
• Experience in driving AI/ ML projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in logistics / supply chain analytics is a plus
